Michael+Amanda Wedding
Weddings // Twitter / Facebook / Delicious / StumbleUpon / DIGG / Reddit

This is Part II to Michael and Amanda’s incredible wedding day! I am cranking on albums and image editing for all of my October and November weddings right now….whew….I kinda see a light at the end of the tunnel, but it is an awesome thing to be able to re-live every moment from these incredible days!

Without further ado…

I caught up with the ladies at the nail salon for pedicures…I declined because I was working!

Then off to Pilgrim Chapel! What a handsome groom, huh?

The dress arrived only a little while before the ceremony started…rush, rush! :-)

You all know I love my ring shots…and what awesome rings they have.

Only a few minutes before Amanda sees her hubby-to-be in the ceremony on their wedding day….AAAH!

This next part is priceless and needs a bit of explanation…
I remember the feelings, as a guy, when my bride first stepped into the room. Michael shows it here. Well, I think you get the idea.
;-)

Proud daddy…

SEE?!

Nuts, they are.

I totally dug Amanda’s thumbs-up approval.

Cake outta the way…so begins the dancing with the first dance. Love it!

Hawtness!

I have a ton of other shots I enjoyed from this wedding…what were your favs from this set?

Great work, Dustin. Looks like the chapel/church was a cave–tough shooting but it appears you pulled it off well. Nicely done.

You did it again Dustin!!!! They are soo good. Love the black/whites. Very neat!! Candid photos really makes your pic taking unique and personal. The rustic chapel and black/ivory colors really compliments each other and shows your talent as a photographer. You did a “steller” job Dustin. Can’t wait to see more.

  5. Renee

Wow! The pictures were truly “in the moment” and of course the bride and groom were beautiful subjects! Can’t wait to see more!

  8. christine May

I absolutely LOVE the shot of everyone showing off their goofy side in front of the Nelson. Those images, to me, are the ones that will make people smile year later look back on them.

John+Jessika Wedding
Weddings // Twitter / Facebook / Delicious / StumbleUpon / DIGG / Reddit

Meet John and Jessika and the crazy fun crew. The expressions and moments that filled this day were nearly never-ceasing. I loved meeting this group of people to celebrate John and Jessika’s nuptials. You can really tell they have a great core set of friends and family, full of life and love.

Enjoy the photos and share in the moments of the J+J Day!!

The dress…so gorgeous….and the bride’s expressions….priceless.

What a handsome teddy bear! I was digging their very Autumn color scheme for the day.

The guys were thinking I was nuts finding all the junk, I think, but I like the result.

The ladies rocked, straight up! We also shot by that tree at the white house that is at the bottom right of the image. ;-)

Pretty! Pretty! It was bit breezy that day, but it could not have been prettier weather.

Beautiful ceremony full of friends and family at First Baptist Church of Blue Springs.

A brief moment after the ceremony before we started all the other photos. Gotta love snapshots like this.

Yes! They are such a cute couple together…so vibrant!

Look at this motley crew! I was stuck in a thorny tree for this shot…couldn’t move too much.

C-R-A-Z-Y people!!! :-D

The bride and groom are pretty crazy, too.

Ah, the details…

This cake rocked! The Fall theme continues with Cake on a Log!

The bubbles were supposed to be outside, but they got transferred inside and made for a fun (and slippery!) dance!

Do you see them?

YES! Too much fun was had while dancing…I LOVED watching this crew work it!

Good night and goodbye! It was nearly pitch black out there when I snapped this one. I loved their outlines in the windshield!

Don’t you just love this rad day?

Tyler+Monica Engagement
Engagements // Twitter / Facebook / Delicious / StumbleUpon / DIGG / Reddit

Giggles! Monica is full of laughs and I think Tyler is her muse. His quiet smile is always with her and continually keeps Miss Monica with a HUGE smile on her beautiful face.

I say ‘Miss Monica’ because she is a school teacher who loves all her kids and talks about them a lot! This radiant couple found me because I had the extreme pleasure of hanging with Tyler’s sister, Ryan, at Jon+Caycee’s wedding. Ryan is the pretty blonde, fourth from the left, in the Perspective photos from earlier today.

Anyway, Monica and Tyler and I had a ball hanging out down at the Plaza. One thing about my engagement sessions…we have fun. We laugh and try to get to know one another and stay relaxed. It is not a photo session so much as it is a get-to-know-you session…a perfect way for a photographer to become familiar with his subjects before their wedding day, so on the wedding day isn’t shooting cold turkey. :-)

I hope you love the photos as much as I loved hanging out with them. Let me know what your favorite is and can you guess which one is my fav?

Is it a bee?! Aaaah!

  1. Sister Ryan

So…after seeing him work at Caycee & Jon’s wedding I knew Dustin would be perfect for Tyler & Monica because he has that spark that both of them have too! The pics are great!! You did a fabulous job capturing their youthful energy and also their love for one another.

Favorites…: I’m digging the portrait of Tyler by the tree looking like the teddy bear he is…and also the pic with Monica lying down flashing the gigantic smile of hers…but FAVORITE has to be the pic of the two of them under the tree with the sun shining through. Monica’s face says “mmmm…I’m a little nervous” and Tyler’s smile says “Don’t worry, I love you”. Beautiful shot!!

P.S. I’m guessing your favorite is the symetrical one under the bridge, no? ;-)

  2. Monica

Oh wow! Dustin, these are AMAZING! Better than I ever imagined! I can’t even begin to explain how much I LOVE them! It’s going to be impossible for me to pick a favorite-they’re all so great! You have truly captured our personalities, which leaves me in awe. Tyler loves the one with my arms crossed and my sly smile. He says it portrays me being sweet, but really it’s just me being bossy. Hehe :) And Tyler is totally a stud under that tree–just look at those DREAMY eyes! Ahhhh! They’re great! I can NOT wait for the proofs to come out! And for our wedding day to come!!!

  3. Caycee

Yea! Tyler & Monica! I’ve been stalking the blog waiting for these to be up ever since Ryan told me you shot them. I love these pictures, my favorite is the one under the bridge where they’re both looking up. It’s fabulous. Keep up the steller work!

  4. Jean Winkler

How I loved the pictures!!! I love you both so very much.
