Rebecca Peters
Portraits // Twitter / Facebook / Delicious / StumbleUpon / DIGG / Reddit

I have had the fortunate and enlightening experience of working on a super-secret project with a very talented photographer recently. For this project, we needed some promo photos, so Eric (from LemonLime Photography) and I met up with Rebecca Peters (and her husband, David, and her little sister, Abbey) for some super-fun photos. We experimented and played and had a good ol’ time enjoying some gorgeous weather. I hope you like the photos and I would love to hear your thoughts…

To my wedding clients! I am nearly done processing all the lovely photos and albums from 2008. Look for an email this week and next from me with your amazing album proofs. I love you all! :-)

    Wow!!! Wow wow wow!
    Love them all…thank you Dustin!!

  2. Melli

These are great images. Already said that at Eric’s blog. My faves would be the second one, the portrait of Rebecca that is right above the first picture of her husband and the second portrait with her husband. :) Well done!

  3. Donna

They are fabulous !!!!! Can’t decide which is my favorite :)

Not sure what your secret project is – but these pictures are great! I love the vintage feel to them. My favorites are with her on the cart and the very last one! If you ever need other models for other secret projects….

  5. Kim

These all are soooo awesome! I don’t know how you could pick just one, I love the ones in her black dress and the red belt against the concrete wall, but also love the ones with her hubby Dave!

Collaboration III Experiment
Weddings // Twitter / Facebook / Delicious / StumbleUpon / DIGG / Reddit

So, my job for our little Collaboration, was to play during the reception. Yes, I get to “play” when I shoot. That is how much I love my job. Anyway, this little fun time at the reception was my responsibility, and while I learned a lot that I can do better next time, I got some fun results right off the top! Sorry for the long post, but I think you’ll like it.

Which is your favorite? Do you have any suggestions or ideas for me? Would you want this at your wedding?

Hey Dustin…I love this idea (some call it a photo booth and have elaborate set-ups, but that isn’t needed). The idea of something fun for people to do at a wedding reception is a great idea!! I did it one time and hooked up a 24″ monitor to the video out on my camera for people to see their pics. It was a BLAST. And you can easily make them available on your site for great traffic!

    I love the glasses!

  2. Caycee

You and I both know that having that photobooth at my reception was such a blast! I think it’s great that you’re coming up with ways to incorporate the same idea into the couple’s day without having to rent a booth like we did. So fun! It’s weird because these pictures don’t look “Dustin” to me, yet they capture so much fun and energy from the day and are absolutely priceless.

  3. Jamie Fender

I love the idea, very cool. My fav is the first bride/groom shot. Very fun. Did you have a rule where they had to be silly? I’ll be the clients just LOVED this!!

  4. Ryan

I think this idea is super fun!!!! I love the pic at the beginning with the three girls in the glasses and I love the ones of the bride & groom in glasses laughing. How funny! Why don’t you talk Tyler & Monica into doing it at their wedding…. :-)

Collaboration II
Weddings // Twitter / Facebook / Delicious / StumbleUpon / DIGG / Reddit

As promised, The Introduction was just a preview of what is to come. Today, I give you a few of my candids from the ceremony and the toast. Beautiful (hopefully, you’ll agree) tidbits of raw emotion from throughout Megen and Matt’s day!

Strings filled the air…

Laughter with tears of joy filled the hearts…

A speechless groom glimpses his bride-to-be…

Hands were held and emotions arose…

Joy was brought forth…

Compassionate and quiet moments in the small Danforth chapel…

The love and bond of sisters united…

The Eldridge, filled with warm wishes…

And a small preview of what is to come tomorrow…Can you guess?
