Elise is an exciting, outgoing and personable young woman who comes from a wonderful family. I was so excited to shoot with her a few weeks back when the fall colors were slamming the world with golden hues. It was right after daylight savings, so we ended up shooting as the light quickly faded each evening, spanning over two days of short sessions instead of one longer session. It worked out because she lived (and we shot near) my house, so there wasn’t a lot of traveling involved…I think the results came out pretty dog-gone fun.
She is one of those people whom it is hard to take a bad photo of. Don’t you just hate that? Makes me jealous.
Her natural smile is at a constant “on” state and she has no “off” button. I think God stuck a smile on her face and forgot to make her able to frown. Anyway, Elise is creatively talented and radiant.
I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I did taking them.
Elise, I am going to post the surprise photos up tomorrow on my blog. I think you’ll like them.

She climbed a tree and hung out for a while while I stood on my tippy-toes and tried to get some pics. Kinda cool, huh?

The Little Blue River, where we shot some of the time, was just beautiful this time of year.

It was chilly out, so we made use of the faux fur on her coat. Always looks good in black and white…

BIG brown eyes!

Laughing. Laughing. Laughing. It’s funny, she thought I was stupid for making her laugh at the rocks. I surely can’t make people laugh at my jokes, so rocks will have to do.

TALL grass and gorgeous sunset through the trees.

I loved the set with her hat and the leather jacket… It is sooo fresh.

Laying on the wicker on the front porch. Too fun!

Get out of the mulch! She is hanging onto the rails of her front porch and standing on the red mulch. I think I stepped on some irises…woops!

Laugh at the tree. Laugh at the tree…not that tree, the OTHER tree!

Weeeeeee!

Josh and his brother Ryan wanted to get some photos done for their parents for the holidays. Josh brought along his fiancé, Erin, and we all met down behind Union Station in Kansas City near Jack Stack BBQ (the best BBQ in KC!). We proceeded from there and got a ton of fun photos on a very brisk Saturday morning. I hope you all like them.

We had to get some “couple” photos for the two of Josh and Erin, so here are a selection of those. Josh is a very tall dude and Erin is a bit vertically challenged. They are so cute together!

Josh contacted me as a referral from an awesome photographer, Heather Cole, who was already booked. Thanks Heather!
that’s one lucky Mom to receive such AWESOME photos for Christmas!!! Couldn’t decide which one I liked best…course I’m partial to Abbey Road as you know:) The couples photos are superb too! VERY nice work.

Beautiful photos as usual! I like the perspective of her up in the tree. “Laugh at that tree…no the other tree”
I may need to borrow that. Thanks for sharing your amazing creativity!!

awesome….such a great fall theme with the colors and the processing! Each picture really stands on its own, but it’s really cool to see how they all work together as well. Great photography, great art!

So cute! Her eyes are insane. You did a super job of mixing it up but the consistency is still there…I feel like I know her! Great work, my friend!

That’s our Lisey! Elise Leah, you are beautiful! And your photographer is a “Michalengelo” with the camera. What a perfect fit, and artist/with a photo artist! Naturally, we thank God for the beautiful job HE did in creating you most of all! (heh heh) I LOVE these photo’s, they are all my favorites… I love it that the photographer used humor to catch “movement” in the shots. I love the way he captured your “eyes” the eye is the “window to the soul”. What an awesome job the stellar photographer has created… great work.
luv you, Aunt Sha
