Jake+Ashley Wedding
Weddings // Twitter / Facebook / Delicious / StumbleUpon / DIGG / Reddit

Jake and Ashley’s day was awesome! It was a wonderful, windy day in Independence that kicked off at the Hilton Garden Inn. The whole crew was there getting ready for the day and soon we were rolling out the door and into the stretch Hummer to head off for photos and the ceremony and reception at The Rhapsody off 23rd street in Independence, MO. I always love shooting pretty couples and these two were smoking hot!

I had very special help from Katie Mae, whom I know from her Flickr. Check out her views of the day on her blog. Thank you, Katie (and her awesome husband, Evan)!!

You all just have to let Ashley and Jake know how you feel about their photos and their day. Leave a comment with some love for them, you all.

I loved this look. So pretty.

Looooong Hummer.

Look at that pretty group! Rock on!

Wow….WOW!

Isn’t she so pretty?

One of my favs from the day. It was nearly dark when we shot this, but I got lucky.

I did another version of this one that I will surprise you all with later.

This was my absolute favorite from the day.

Happy, happy bride to be, in just a few more minutes!

Stoic daddy with his little girl.

The noisy, windy tent was flapping and a stormin’, but the ceremony was beautiful nonetheless.

See what I mean??!

I was digging the details of the day!

Sticking your tongue out always helps. I know it does with me.

The couple’s first dance was joined in by one of the beautiful little nieces.

Open up the floor and everybody was dancing!

….and rocking out!

Hot couple and hot rings!

Whoa!

Dan+Kelly Wedding
Weddings // Twitter / Facebook / Delicious / StumbleUpon / DIGG / Reddit

Dan and Kelly are a remarkable couple whom I had the genuine pleasure to share in their wedding day! Their traditional Catholic ceremony was in Lawrence, where family and friends gathered to celebrate with them.

The celebration moved south to an amazing barn down in Edgerton, Kansas. The band, Pacific Express, rocked the party all night with some incredible tunes for dancing. There were some real pros rocking the floor all night!

I had Cate Crandell rocking the day with me, helping me capture every special moment. All in all, we had fun shooting some amazing photos and I hope that the photos help bring Dan and Kelly’s story to life.

OH! A special note to…umm, make note of… Kelly’s mom made her fabulous silk gown and the bridesmaid dresses, AND did the flowers (over 700 colored roses!) and much more. That is one talented lady!

Make sure you comment and let us know what your favorite photos of the day were!

Blustery cold and crazy clouds followed us all day. It even snowed for a while!

A skilled master holding her ornate creation!

Ain’t it pretty?

Yes, yes it issss pretty!

Something about being a daddy to two girls…daddy/daughter moments always hit me.

Stud.

Stud and his big brother with a flying monster on the chalkboard.

Just look at that joyful face…you wanna know why?

This is a pretty good reason, don’t ya think? :-)

YAH!! What a nutty bunch.

Stud and company.

Whoa! Hottie alerts! This was a fun bunch of ladies. You rocked it.

Hims and Hers.

Yes….I ALWAYS have fun in parking garages.

I flagged down the bride+groom (they followed me to the reception) and we pulled over and ran into the field for a few quick and cold shots. I loved the results.

Dance….burn, baby burn.

There were a LOT of great speeches and I had to include a few photos of these funny guys.

Check out the yum, yum cake! Cate is holding the light to the right. See her gray sweater? ;-)

Kind of a cool view of the barn, huh?

The band, Pacific Express, rocking out for some crazy-good dancers.

Ring shot!

The barn…at night. It was cooooold outside without a coat! Ha!

Bob+Stacey Wedding – Part Two
Weddings // Twitter / Facebook / Delicious / StumbleUpon / DIGG / Reddit

To round out Bob and Stacey’s wedding day images, I am now bringing you the party! After the ceremony and the Nelson Atkins Museum, we stopped at the Brooksider to kick off the party. Later (where I pick things up) we headed to Brio on the Country Club Plaza for a full on reception with out of this world food and crazy times dancing for all ages!

The crazy fun crew!

Bob can fly!

Rock on!

The amazing food from Brio’s kitchen was open all night. Great idea…Oh, and the carrot cake was to die for.

Aren’t they cute? They were cutting a rug all night long!

Party time.

Stacey and Bob could not be stopped. Boundless fun and energy!

These two were a different story, though. Aren’t they cute?!

Juicy Ring Shot

Guys, it was awesome to be with you and share in your incredible day. I hope you all had as much fun as I did! :-)
