High School Seniors Photography Portraits

Stefanie: Senior 2008

Stefanie is awesome. She is fun, very intelligent and, as you can see from the photos, very pretty too! We shot on the Country Club Plaza and at her gorgeous home by a local lake. Her parents rock! Her mother and grandma accompanied her for the shoot and I had the opportunity to meet dad at their home. He even let me hold his new iPhone…oh, and they are “mac” people, too! These are folks I can relate to. :-) Too fun!

Oh, and Stefanie is a super good pal with Jamie, another cool senior I shot with last year.

Adrian Zaragoza, Artistic Director at Beauty Brands on the Plaza, did her hair before our shoot. We promptly went out into the humid hotness of the evening and began the shoot! Boy, it was hot out. I was perspiring…no, I was sweating…like crazy (can’t wait for Fall!), but I didn’t melt, so I guess my mom was wrong about me being sugary sweet, huh? ;-)

    What a fantastic group of photos. It’s obvious that she is very beautiful, but you truly brought out the very best in her. Great on all fronts. I love the one by the phone and the fourth from last where she is looking directly up at you….the eyes!! Oh my!

    The one she is laughing in b&w, with wrinkles on her nose, is so natural, she looks fantastic!
    But I see you are a smart guy since you got the best one for yourself: the last one, with the aging effect, is just perfect! ;o)

Michael+Christina Engagement

Michael and Christina met me the other day to talk about their wedding coming up very soon in August. I think I speak for all three of us…we are excited (I think they may be a bit more excited, but hey, photographers can have fun, too!).

We got to know one another, meeting at Starbuck’s on the Country Club Plaza and then meandering around exploring and having a good ol’ time. I hope the pictures show it. Let me know what you think!

    Kate - That was totally his idea. I had him climbing all around and he was resting there. I made him stay there for about 30 frames!

Katie+Garrett Wedding

July 21, 2007 will be a memorable day, not only for me, but for Katie and Garrett as they tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony. I, once again, tagged along with Heather Cole and her second shooter Aaron Harrison for a fun-filled day of creativity and boundless energy.

I will keep the dialogue brief, only to say that I think the fun photos speak for themselves. We shot at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, The Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, the historic Country Club Plaza, Westport and at the reception which was at the awesome and historic Uptown Theater.

So, after these past couple of weddings, I have decided that Steller Photography is going to beginning an aggressive campaign for 2008 weddings. We’ve got the talent, experience, creativity and many, many open weekends to make it happen. Tell your friends!
