Jon+Caycee Wedding

What can I say? This was one incredible wedding day celebration. My day kicked off at the morning rehearsal at Country Club Christian Church off Ward Parkway and ended adrenaline-pumped, late that night at The Boulevard Brewery in Kansas City. I met so many amazing people and was truly blessed to have been a part of Jon and Caycee’s ROCKING day! If you were a part of the day, then you know what I mean.

Post a comment and tell me what you think! If you were at the wedding, then I really want to know what was your favorite part of the day!

Earlier I posted a sneak preview of the photos. I really hope you all enjoyed this full post. I had a very hard time narrowing down the vast amount of photos that Neal and I took that day!

Oh! That reminds me! Neal Troester, half of the dynamic and creative team at Lemon Lime Photography, was the very generous and talented second-shooter for the day. His style is great. His skilled eye was treasured and several of the photos here are his. (I have a special post coming that tell more about how valuable a second shooter can be.) Go check out more of Lemon Lime’s work at their new site at lemonlimephoto.com.

Look for an outtakes and behind-the-scenes post coming soon!

OH…MY…GOD!! I LOVE THEM! Absolutely love them! Thank you for posting them so late, they were definitely worth the wait (and sitting here at 3:30 in the morning!). You are so talented it blows my mind. Love my sister in the sink, love the girls in the elevator area (they are gorgeous!), my Dad is going to love the one with the Hi Boy cup and the one next to it is defnitely a favorite!, love the one of all the guys (they look like they’re having a blast), love the ones with the flower bouquets, love Ryan trying to take a picture, LOVE THEM!! You did such an amazing job at capturing everyone’s beauty and enjoyment of the day, how will I ever repay you?!? You rock!

  7. Kristin

These pictures are truely beautiful. I had so much fun that day and you really captured everyone’s exictment! Caycee’s pictures are gorgeous.

  8. Allyson

    Me again…

Did I say I can’t stop looking at them? Caycee looks just AMAZING!

So I also had to email the link to my friends to show off how great these turned out. Here are some highlights for your entertainment:

“HOLY. CRAP. Those are freaking AWESOME! The bouquets were super cute, too!”

    “LOVE her green shoes!”

“Oh hisss, you look great in all of them. ;) Love! She had one of those weddings you see in magazines. Balls!”

  9. Ryan

I’ve been looking at these all day and I still can’t find a favorite!! The solo shot of Jon is SUPER hunky and I think totally captures his handsomeness and EVERY pic of Caycee is ridiculously superb!! (I really love the green shoes!) They’re all fantastic - you ROCK, Dustin, thanks for being so uber talented and R-A-W. :-)

  10. Randy

Duder, I’m so impressed with everything you are posting. I know you got the talent so really this shouldn’t be a surprise. ;)

  11. Cheryl

I have looked and looked and looked at the pictures throughout the day and each time see something different. They truely bring a smile to my face knowing how much fun everyone had hanging out with such a cool photographer as you, Dustin. I don’t know if I could possibly pick out a highlight of the day but looking at the pictures sure does bring back wonderful memories of that day. As a M.O.B. your goal is for your daughter to have the day she has always dreamed about and since the day seemed to fly by in a blur at times it’s great to see all the memories come to life through your talent. The guys shot is fantastic, the bridesmaids close-ups were awesome, got to love Jon’s solo shot and Dustin you truely captured Caycee’s beauty inside and out!! Your photos speak volumes of your talent, can’t wait to see them all.

  12. Brian Stevens

Engagements

Jared+Ashtan Engagement

I met Ashtan (and her big sister, Amanda) a long time ago at a Fashion House shoot in Kansas City. She had never modeled and it was a lot of fun to hang out and get some great photos back then.

Surprise, surprise! Ashtan calls me up not too long ago, asking if I remembered her, to which I replied, “Of course I remember you! Big blue eyes and a sister, right?” She had looked me up and was wanting an engagement session for her and her ruggedly handsome, soon-to-be hubby, Jared. This I can do!

Well, Jared and Ashtan are going away to get married [undisclosed location, but involves a beach, but not me :-) ] and so they wanted a killer engagement session. They dated a lot down by the Crown Center area, so I suggested maybe we could shoot at Liberty Memorial. Liberty Memorial is one of the only WWI memorials in the country. They have an amazing museum and the area is really quite amazing, set up on a hill.

They met me down there and we got to know each other pretty well. Ashtan’s mom even came down and hung out with us for a while! Yah!

I hope you love the photos and I can’t wait to see you guys in wedded bliss!

  5. Ashtan Bruders/VanBuskirk

AHHHHH- They turned out AMAZING considering the 95 degree temps, heavy winds, and the random tornado watch! Haha, We love them and knew that you would not dissapoint. You’re so much fun and there is no substitute for your photography! Keep making people smile!

  6. Rachel

Awesome shoot as usual. Where did you shoot the first picture? Those doors are awesome.

Josh+Beth Wedding Preview

I am so very excited to share with you these images, so I have a quick, quick preview from the wedding this weekend at Jacob’s Well church in Westport and the Arts Incubator on 18th in Kansas City.

Are you totally diggin’ her dress?! Jessica McClintock can design!

Jacob’s Well Church. Beautiful ceremony and exit!

I loved this shot of the groom. I think I caught his smile perfectly, welling up from the inside out…

A special “thank you” to Marco, from Photo Mementos in downtown Lee’s Summit, who came along for the fun day. He was a lifesaver with his ultra-wide lens. I can’t wait to show you some of the shots we set up for that glass. He was even standing on my back for a couple of the shots! Too fun! I can’t wait to tag along and shoot with him again.
