Hi Dustin! I just read about your studio and photography business through another blog- Eric Linebarger. We went to school together and he's taken just about every one of my friends wedding pictures. But, I had no idea what you were up to. I'm sooooo impressed! It was great to see pictures of your family and Lacy and her new baby. It's crazy how I've completely lost touch. I had no idea you had such an unbelievable talent for photography. I'm in San Francisco now working for a design firm and designing hotels. Email me sometime. I'd love to hear how you and your family are doing!

I work for Cox Enterprises and saw that you participated in Blog Action Day. I thought you might be interested in visiting www.CoxConserves.com. The site details Cox’s commitment to the environment and offers tips on how anyone can become eco-friendly.

HA! Michael, I am sorry to laugh at your misfortune, but I did nearly the exact same thing this weekend only I *almost* laid in it when jumping down to the ground to get an upward perspective! It was a close one.

It is important that we teach our children the values that we hold dear to ourselves. We should each take time to recognize what is important to us and why, and then teach it to our kids and others. Great point and glad your session wasn't a pile o' poo!

Well said, Dustin. I'm not a "tree hugger" either but do endeavor to be a good steward, and am teaching my children to do the same.

Although it may not seem obvious, bad citizens can have an impact on portrait photographers. Case in point: I was doing a senior session at a local park recently. I hadn't gotten five frames shot when I stepped in--yup--a big pile of dog poo. Some pet owner had been through that area without a thought for others who use the park.

Of course, my first thought was, "I hope this isn't a metaphor for how this session's going to go." Fortunately it wasn't. ;)
